Networking Manager

The position oversees Enterprise Network Architecture and Operations, with a strong focus on LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, and SD‑WAN, supporting teaching, research, and campus services while ensuring scalability, redundancy, and service quality.

The Networking Manager provides strategic, consultative, and operational leadership in the implementation of network security controls, end‑to‑end monitoring and performance management, and automation through DevSecOps integration. Working closely with Infrastructure, Security, Service Delivery teams, and the Security Manager, the role contributes to operational continuity, service excellence, and the continuous evolution of network services to meet the needs of students, faculty, and institutional stakeholders.

• Manage and design enterprise network architectures for complex environments using LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, and SD‑WAN technologies, ensuring secure, redundant, and high‑performance connectivity.
• Implement and maintain network security and resilience controls, including firewalls, VPNs, NAC, IDS/IPS, and Zero Trust policies, in close collaboration with the Security Manager.
• Ensure comprehensive end‑to‑end monitoring and performance management by correlating traffic, latency, and availability metrics with user experience indicators and overall Quality of Service (QoS) for critical services.
• Apply automation and DevSecOps integration practices using tools such as Ansible, Python, Cisco DNA, and FortiManager to automate configurations, enhance traceability, and integrate network, infrastructure, and security workflows.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Service Delivery teams to anticipate risks, optimize operations, and evolve the technology architecture in a structured, sustainable, and controlled manner.
• In the interest of service quality and customer satisfaction, work closely with other Operations disciplines to understand their activities and ensure service continuity during colleague or team absences.

• Proven ability to manage and architect complex enterprise networks using LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, and SD‑WAN technologies while maintaining secure, redundant, and high‑performance connectivity.
• Strong expertise in configuring and operating firewalls, VPNs, NAC, IDS/IPS, and Zero Trust security controls, including close coordination with a Security Manager for policy definition and enforcement.
• Experience with end‑to‑end monitoring and performance management, including analysis of traffic, latency, and availability metrics and correlation with user experience indicators and global QoS objectives.
• Hands‑on experience applying automation and DevSecOps principles using Ansible, Python, Cisco DNA, and FortiManager to deliver consistent and reliable network, infrastructure, and security deployments.
• Advanced collaboration skills to work effectively with Infrastructure, Security, Service Delivery, and Operations teams to support continuous improvement and architectural evolution.
• Ability to understand multiple operational disciplines to ensure service quality, maintain continuity for customers, and provide coverage during team member absences when required.
