Site Reliability Engineer - GCP
We are building a world-class team and looking for a Senior SRE to join us. In this role, you will be a cornerstone of our Infrastructure and DevOps department, driving the evolution of platforms that power our industry-leading products. You will collaborate directly with mobile, web, and backend teams to ensure our GCP-based infrastructure is resilient, scalable, and optimized for high-performance delivery.
This project focuses on maturing our DevOps transformation. You will be responsible for architecting and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, implementing advanced observability (Monitoring/Logging), and ensuring that our mobile backend infrastructure on GCP follows the highest standards of security and well-architected principles.
National and international expected traveling time: 0%-15% estimated (project-dependent).
Requirements
What you will be doing:
- Architect & Refine Observability: Design and implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies using GCP native tools (Cloud Monitoring/Logging) and open-source solutions (Prometheus/Grafana).
- Automate Infrastructure: Provision and manage complex GCP resources using Terraform, ensuring consistent Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Optimize CI/CD: Maintain and evolve Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines to accelerate delivery without sacrificing stability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with backend and mobile engineering teams to optimize deployment, performance, and observability for mobile backends.
- Security & Governance: Enforce security best practices within GCP infrastructure configurations and deployment workflows.
- Strategic Improvement: Proactively identify bottlenecks in the infrastructure and implement architectural improvements to GCP services (Cloud Run, BigQuery, Networking).
- Knowledge Engineering: Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation for deployment architectures and troubleshooting frameworks.
Expertise we are looking for:
- Senior DevOps/SRE Experience: 3+ years of proven track record in infrastructure evolution and DevOps transformations.
- GCP Deep Dive: Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform, specifically Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Networking.
- IaC Mastery: Solid experience with Terraform for large-scale resource provisioning.
- Containerization: Expertise in Docker and managing containerized workloads.
- Observability Stack: Hands-on experience with GCP’s operations suite, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Automation/Scripting: Proficiency in Go, Python, or TypeScript/JS for automation and custom tooling.
- Optimize CI/CD: using Github Actions, Git Lab, ArgoCD (or others similiar)
- Agile Mindset: A strong preference for dynamic environments and a high degree of autonomy in problem-solving.
- Security Focus: Practical knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance.
