Mid-Level IT Business Analyst – ESG Applications & Financial Services
Lisbon-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 2 remote days per week).
As a Mid-Level IT Business Analyst – ESG Applications & Financial Services, you will be working for our client, a leader in the financial sector committed to sustainable and responsible growth. In this role, you'll drive crucial support and development for ESG applications, helping to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities that shape a sustainable future.
Your main responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze business needs by conducting interviews with finance, risk, compliance, and HR teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with technical teams to collect detailed functional specifications and formalize business actions.
- Develop mock-ups and prototypes to illustrate solutions and identify potential enhancements.
- Participate in shadowing and reverse-shadowing activities during support phases to identify issues and ensure smooth application handovers.
- Design test scenarios and contribute to functional testing of ESG applications.
- Train end-users on new tools and processes.
- Draft comprehensive documentation, including operational procedures, access rights management, and incident reporting guidelines.
- Produce regulatory reports and ensure procedures for monitoring and incident escalation are up-to-date.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in similar roles within the financial sector or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools.
- Experience working on functional specifications and process modeling.
- Autonomous with excellent time management and team collaboration skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and high commitment.
- Customer-focused, service-minded attitude with a proactive mindset.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Advanced knowledge of the functional environment within a financial institution.
- Fluency in French (C1 level) alongside excellent command of English (B2 level).
Language Required for the role:
- English (Communicative level)
- French (Advanced – C1)
