Senior Thermal Engineer (Space Sector)

Currently, the company is working on several projects to provide cutting-edge technologies for Earth observation or communication satellites as well as scientific missions.
The candidate would support in a new project, reporting to the head of Systems Engineering Competence Centre, and will work collaboratively with team members across all subsystems.The candidate will be focused on the field of thermal control and thermal protection subsystems (including but not limited to design and analysis activities, support across the implementation, testing and validation tasks).
Main Accountabilities: The person in charge of this position would support the company on the current and upcoming projects regarding thermal engineering activities for satellite systems.
Main tasks and responsibilities envisaged in this position will include:- Technical support and studies in the thermal control area, throughout all project phases, focusing on the industrialization of a new design.
- Performing analysis as required to support thermal subsystem architecture definition, interfacing with the rest of disciplines within the project.
- Writing of Technical Documentation.
-Monitoring and follow-up of applicable scientific and technological trends while maintaining state-of-the-art expertise within the company.
Education: Preferred: Aerospace engineering Professional Experience:- Required: Engineer with 5 – 10 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry Technical Requirements:
- Required: The candidate must be an experienced thermal engineer, capable of assuming responsibilities within the project or proposals assigned.
- Experience in spacecraft thermal engineering, related technologies and a general knowledge of space thermal control subsystems.
- Detailed knowledge of the systems and subsystems encompassing a spacecraft.
- Expertise performing tasks to analyze technical data, verify and sustain specific systems configurations in accordance with defined constraints and driving/operational/technical requirements (following ECSS techniques).
- Knowledge of other thermal analysis tools is also desirable: SINDA/FLUINT; SYSTEMA, NX Thermal.
- Experience in writing relevant technical and project implementation documentation.
-Knowledge of low-level integration and testing techniques.
Desired:- Knowledge of MBSE philosophy.
- Knowledge of Capella MBSE Tool and/or Valispace.
- Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
- Knowledge of New Space approach and techniques.
- Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
