Data Engineer

Despite its development center being located in Porto and all administrative support in Lisbon, you will be part of a multicultural team that is spread across several European cities. We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in Porto (hybrid).

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
• Experience of 3-5 years building data pipelines on public cloud services (preferably AWS, also Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Database architecture, ETL, BI, Big Data, ML, Advanced Analytics.
• Spark ecosystems (Hadoop is a plus).
• Pipeline orchestration (Airflow, Step Functions, AWS workflow).
• Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg) and optimizations (Compaction, Z-Order, etc.).
• Software development and transformation (Python, SQL, SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages, Docker, CI/CD, automation).
• AWS services: Lambda, Glue, Crawlers, Step Functions, AWS workflow, dynamo db, AWS batch
• DevOps and Agile principles, infrastructure as code (Cloud Formation and Terraform), artifact/vulnerability management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to collaborate across multicultural teams.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken), French is a plus.
• Preferred: experience with container-based applications (Docker) and Linux-based infrastructure.
• Experience in maintain / developing backend applications like spring boot or others
• Proficiency in scripting using Bash and Shell within Unix/Linux environments.
