Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to work in this project in Porto (Hybrid) or Lisbon (Hybrid).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field;
• Between 6 and 9 years of professional experience;
• Strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (Semarchy, Stambia, Talend, DataStage, or similar);
• Ability to design and maintain data integration processes;
• Proficient SQL skills;
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake) and data modeling concepts;
• Experience with VTOM or Virtual-M (or comparable job orchestration/workload automation tools);
• Ability to schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs;
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux scripting (shell scripting, awk, sed, Python as a plus) for automation and data processing tasks;
• Data engineering mindset: knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT patterns, data quality, data lineage, and metadata management;
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
• French-speaking at least B2 level required;
• Ability to collaborate with French-speaking stakeholders and teams;
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud data platforms (GCP) and cloud-native ETL tools;
• Familiarity with data governance, data cataloging, and security practices;
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) is a plus;
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices for data pipelines.
